No, one person can easily operate it even with passengers.

It comes in red as shown in the picture. I don't have cushions and I feel very comfy after hours of paddling. I wouldn't recommend it.

It actually holds two adults in the front and 2 children in the back. I tried to sit in the back and the seats were too small for an adult.
