It is not adjustable - I am 5 ft 3 and can still ride it, anyone taller than that may have difficulty

I am 5 ft 3 inches and can still ride it with ease - so your son has the potential to be able to use it for at least a year or two.

The initial charge takes 18 hours. After hours of usage, it needs only about a 4 hour charge.

I believe if you contact Razor directly they could help you with that. They have a great customer service department. If you have any problems with their products they get back to you right away. They will also fix a product if it's broken, not sure on the shipping charges to CA though.

The package states 8 years and up. My 10 year old loves it. I would go to the next speed if over 11.
