I haven't tried ribs yet, but I've cooked steak. I'm sure when I do ribs it will work also. It has a nice drain system for extra liquids. The temp. of 1-5 would be good for ribs since they need to cook slow, I'd start at 3 or 4, then go to 5 at the end of cooking the ribs. I know chicken would work. And you can even bake in it, using a pan with the item you are cooking in the pan, set the pan inside the grill with the lid on. It's pretty nice.
