Mine is 23 inches, works perfect for keyboard ergonomics. 21 to 23 inches would be fine.
I don't see why it wouldn't work as a laptop table. It is very lovely, sturdy and could work well for that purpose.

No more than 24" seat height--shorter for a larger person. Because of the drawers you have less clearance between seat of chair & bottom of drawers.

The stool that can be purchased with it is under twenty five inches, I would base it on that design.

Once assembled, the table is 33" tall, the stools 25". If you're going to use the table for long periods of time (hours), I would think a chair/stool a bit lower than 25" would be more comfortable & put less strain on the lower back.

I think it would be perfect and although that is not why I bought it, I am thinking of using it for that!

An adjustable office chair will probably work best considering what's comfortable for your height and prefered leg space, but two 24" stools are what comes standard to fit this tabel
