Yes. it has a built in ATSC tuner, no need for a digital converter... the specs clearly state that it has an ATSC and an NTSC (old school analog) tuner built in.

Yes, it does. So if I'm at the stove (which is on one side of the unit) or at the sink (at the other side), I can swivel from right to left or even up and down! I love this TV!!!

The viewing area is 9" diagonally. However, the surrounding framework is 10 3/4"W X 6 11/16"H

I realize that the screen will fold up underneath when you want to get it out of the way but does the TV screen swivel at all from side to side?

My breakfast table is not in the actual kitchen and the screen needs to swivel about 45 to 80 degrees to the right so that it can be watched easily. No one has addressed this issue so I am assuming it will not but just wanted to confirm this. Just so we are all thinking about the same product, I am looking at the Audiovox 9" under the cabinet model.

This screen has a swivel of 270 degrees so you can view it from just about any angle

The answer is YES. ATSC is the digital standard for over the air HDTV digital signals. You will need an HDTV/Digital antenna to receive the signal over the air. With cable you may need a digital converter for enahnced cable but I know for a fact that it is not required for Comcast or Broadstripe for channels 2-125. Above Ch 125 or Ch 1 you will need their adapter box. Hope this helps

See my prior answer. You should not need a digital converter for basic cable signals (ch 2 - ch 35) but depending upon your cable provider you may need one for channels 36-125 as they might be scrambling. You just need an HDTV?Digital antenna to receive air transmissions

You would need an antenna, as well as the converter box. I am not sure how good of a reception it would be. Ours works thru our cable hookup.
