both sides do adjust ...im not sure how much each because we only need one panel and the door/gate piece. we had a 77" opening

Can each side of the gate be detached and used in two seperate openings?
We have two openings... I am hoping to use the door and gate in one and the other peice of gate in the other.. will this work and does it come with enough hardware to mount it all? Also, if anyone has the measurements of each section of gate alone please let me know what it is! THANKS!
