Questions & Answers for Radio Flyer Radio Flyer Classic Red Dual Deck Tricycle

Question
Is the Radio Flyer a product still made in the U.S.A?
We purchased a Radio Flyer for our grandaughter 10 years ago & what we heard at that particular time that this Tricycle will be made in another country. I purchase another one for another grandson four years later and I am wanting to purchase another but would really like to know if the quality is still the same.

The tricycle is not made in America but it is good quality. It has rubber tires which is nice.

I think is it one of the better made tricycles out there! It is super easy to put together (my 13 year old did it) and I think it is going to last a long time! It is very sturdy and worth the $$ spent!

They may have made the seats differently at some point because the one we have adjusts in height by tightening a screw and will adjust at any point up and down the seat post. Our 2 year old daughter could not reach the pedals even with the seat down low.

The only way the seat adjusts is up and down 2 notches. Not backward or forward. The top notch was high enough that my average sized 4.5 yr old just touched the floor.

It does. It is hard for my 2 year old to press the lever down to get it to ring though.

There is some assembly, but it is minimal. You will have to put the handlebars in place and tighten with a wrench and use a hammer to put the wheels on. You will need to attach the bell to the handlebars. If you have a wrench, a hammer, maybe a screwdriver and 5 minutes, it should be no problem. Just be sure to read the instructions about putting the washers in place BEFORE you attach the tires. This is a much nicer trike than the plastic preassembled ones.

My son is about 33lbs and is fine. I don't recall the manufacturer's limit, but my 62lb daughter and 70 pound son have been standing and sitting on and driving it around the house with my youngest on it and it is no worse for the wear. I would imagine any child up to age 5 and within those weight limits would be fine for the bike.
