The previous posters are not correct... you can connect a PC to this TV if the PC has DVI output (VGA=a blue monitor connector with 15 holes/DVI=white connector with lots of holes). If you have DVI, just buy a DVI to HDMI adapter cable from Walmart and hook it up! My PC uses 1720X1000 resolution and looks fantastic.

Question

What is the max supported PC resolution?

I read the manual online from Sanyo and they mention hooking up DVI->HDMI (cable not included)HDMI input1 using the audio of Input3, but they don't tell what resolution it will support. Specifically we will drive it with a MacBookPro with DVI-D out.

My PC works best at 1720X1000 resolution using a DVI to HDMI adapter cable. It's using an ATI X800 video card.
1920X1080 (1080p) doesn't fit the screen properly.

This tv is digital ready as long as you have the new dtv converter box and the proper antenna you will be fine. For more info on the dtv transition go to dtv.gov and it will answer more questions you may have.

answer 2
It will do both analog and digital over-the-air channels with an antenna, yes. The analog channels tend to look bad, but as of February, analog will no longer be broadcast so that isn't much to complain about.

Yes, it does have a HDTV tuner built in. Depending on your location, you may still have to get a HD antennae to get your locals if there not offered through your cable or satellite provider.

I would say YES. Go to Sanyo's website. They have great instructions with diagrams and are easy to follow. Check with your cable provider too if (unlikely) you can't resolve your problem after visiting the Sanyo's site.

Question

What accessories (Cables, stand, etc.) do we need to purchase with this TV?

I see that it comes with a stand. If I purchase a TV stand for a 30 - 50 inch TV will that be alright? I don't necessarily want to mount it on the wall if I don't have to. I am not sure of the cables I will need. I plan on purchasing a BlueRay player and stereo system to use with it.

We were told by the cable company to purchase Higher quality HDMI cables approx 35 to 45 dollars for 6 feet. That should be all you need. The stand that comes with it is great, and it has a non skid rubberixed bottom. If you want a television shelf for it, pick a cute small one from Wal-mart. We got one to accomodate our DVD player and High Def Cable box, which you will need, Cable Box to get the best picture. We saw the difference, Major. It looks like we are sitting with the actors. And get a table(Tv Shelf) entertainment center that is level with your furniture. GREAT!!!

No, it should work just fine. One issue you might run into is signal strength and location of where you live in relation to the transmission tower. ATSC signals tend to travel in a straight line and do not bounce off of terrain as well as NTSC signals. So if you live a good distance from the tower you might have to amplify your signal.
