Question

will you be able to close the door after installing the rack

answer 1
I have no trouble closing my door with the rack installed. My rack does hit a wall rack beside it when the door opens with the rack loaded. The door opens about 3/4 the way open because of this. If you have about 8 inches behind the door, this would not happen. I love the rack.

Yes! I have a packed closet and am still able to close my door with the rack installed (the rack is on the interior of the closet door). You shouldn't have any issues.

Yes you can close the door after placing the rack of the door. Some doors may swing open but I think it just depends on how the door and the door frame were built and what they are made of...

This wasn't designed to be wall mounted. However, you might be able to use a Command product to secure it to the wall. It has six "elbows" that rest on the door that you could attach the Command products. I'd just be afraid of the weight. However, I have two 30 lb framed artwork hanged with them and they hold fine. Hope this helps.

only hangs over the door, it's all plastic, no screws at all, all snap-on

No, the space between the bars is too large. But if you got a poster board and cut it down to go on a rack, you could fit a ton of baby shoes on it.

answer 5
Not unless you keep them in the shoe box.
answered 2 years, 4 months ago

answer 6
Not unless you put something on each rung to fill in the space. You could stretch a sturdy cloth strip (or duct tape!) from one side hinge to the other to make a shorter "shelf" on the rung.
answered 2 years, 6 months ago

Makeshoppingquickandeasy
answer 7
Depends on the size of the baby shoes. The space between spindles is approximately 5 inches, so if the baby shoes are smaller or shorter than that, then it will not hold them. Hope this helps.

Cannot be screwed to the wall. You could, however, screw shelf brackets in the wall to hold this, but you would need to support them really well if you are going to put thirty pair of shoes on here.

The dimesions are correct but it's in feet not inches.

The door I wanted to hang it from was a smaller than normal door so I used two brass hooks to hang it in my closet - just make sure you measure it correctly and that you are putting the hooks into wall stud

Probably you would have to screw the unit to the door. The over-the-door hooks come off and leaves metal that can be screwed to the door. I would do this if I were you because it is a great rack and a wonderful way to store a lot of shoes in a small space.

I wear a 7 and I would say they would fit alright. One thing I would recommend (based on my experience) when assembling the rack, tap each spindle into the holes with a hammer. They have a tendency to pop out. Good luck.
