The angle cant be changed but shade is wide so covers the whole area of the hammock.

Is the weight capacity accurate or can this item hold additional weight?
I would like to get this for my father as a Christmas present but may not because of the weight limit. He is right at 250 pounds, maybe a little bit more (10 lbs. at the most), should I look for one that has a higher limit or is this sturdy enough to support my father's weight?

The hammock can hold the weight because the base is sturdy. But depending on how full your father is it may not be wide enough. check the width.

What size is the Ozark Trailblazer Hammock when in the case?
My son has an RV and wants to be sure that the folded hammock will fit in his bins...
This comes with a shade , does it fit in the case also.
