Yes it makes train sounds & plays the alphabet song. I'm not sure how many songs it plays, as it plays a song every time you push a button....but it plays many. My 2 y/o could have ridden it at about 18 months old for sure, but I'm not sure about a 1 y/o. It may be to tall still.

The train makes lots of sounds. It plays the alphabet song, it also tells the child the name of the letter and an example word when they insert a block into the spaces on the front. It has a music option and a search option that works like a game for the child to find the letter it's asking for. You can also choose to turn the sounds off. It is perfect for my one year old.

So far, I have only heard the ABC, because my one year old dances to that then starts doing other things to make other noises. It looks easy for my son to ride, He just doesn't exactly know how to turn yet. Yes this train makes sounds. When you put the blocks into the top it counts out loud one after the other, When you turn the pages on the book it talks about the letters on that page and reads a sentence about the letters. When you put the blocks in the squares by the book, it tells you what letter is on the block, what picture is on the block, and asks you to flip it over to see the picture :)

LOTS of sounds and songs. Too many at the end of a busy day :) Very easy to ride

It does make sounds. It's bulky for them to ride at first...but after a while it seems to be a little easier. There is a gap between the main engine and the seat which can make it hard for them to hold on to the handles when they are first starting out..however my one year old still loves to sit and push it!!

Yes, it makes many noises as well as lighst up. It also counts and also plays the alphabet. It is endless fun! Yes ur 1 yr. old should be able to ride it, but even if he/she cant theres tons of other things on the train that will keep he/she occupied! :) I recommend it!
