What is the difference between the V-Motion and the regular V Smile system?
Are the smartridges interchangeable from the vmotion and the handheld games? Which cartridges work with which systems? Are there any games available for kids older than age 7?

If you use the smartridges from the orginal v-smile with the v-motion, you need to use the corded controller. Other wise you can play any of the v-smile and v-smile motion games on either system.

I think some of the games go to age 8, but I think they are not producing enough games for the older kids. My daughter just turned 7....

I just talked to V-tech and I know that the baby smartridges are not inter changeable. The ones for 0-3.

The Vtech website says all the smartridges can be used on all systems. If you go to that website vtech.com it has games listed by age group. Hope that helps!

One player at a time, but you can do two player games (as in the kids take turns).

The system I had came with one controller, so only one person could play at a time. You can purchase an extra controller so you can have two people play at a time.

The original Vsmile games CAN play on the Vmotion and likewise, Vmotion games game play on the portable Vpockets and original Vsmile system - the only difference is you cannot use the motion and have to use the joystick/button controls. You CAN also use the original corded Vsmile joysticks with the Vmotion as well as plug and play Vsmile accessories like the Art Studio.

Yes.
All the vsmile cartridges play on the vmotion.
The one's that do not play on the vmotion are the V.FLASH GAMES and V.Baby
games.

Yes it can - The V.Smile Smartbook Requires the V.Smile TV Learning System or the V.Motion Learning System.. It works on the new and old V Smile TV Learning Systems as well as the V.Smile V Motion System

It comes with the system, controller, one game cartridge, and a USB connecter. It takes batteries that are included. It uses a A/C adapter which is NOT INCLUDED. Either buy recargable batteries or spend the extra $10 on the A/C adapter. Hope this helps.

Is there a plug in for the original controllers such as the joystick and keyboard? Ours quit working yesterday, and I'm trying to decide whether to replace it with the original, or go ahead and get the Motion since it plays the games we have anyway.
